We excavate to a proper depth and build on a hard rock base, levelled and compacted. We then add a layer of course sand or fines and level and compact that as well. Using our custom screed poles, we are able to deliver a perfect grade to allow for proper drainage. Stone pattern and stone cutting are done to perfection and our attention to detail and quality leave no comparison to our fellow competition.
Finally, the sanding of the joints is a crucial step that's often not executed correctly, the sand must be spread out in a thin layer and COMPACTED in with a plate tamper to successfully fill the gaps from top to bottom. This locks the stone in place and doesn't allow for any movement or weed growth!
